  This month at Jan's Digi Stamps we are celebrating Mother's Day, there are 10 sets on sale, plus there are 2 new sets released that are on sale!  Early May Bouquet (the set I used) and Spring Flowers and Coffee.

I did a fun fold for this card.  This is one of those super easy fun folds (compared to the others).  I went with a rainbow of colors in pastels.  Here is the set.

To give more room to write a message, I added this to the back of the card.

Add a Splash of Color

 For the current QKR Stampede challenge I made this fun and colorful card using Artist Bear and Happy Birthday Vertical.

I created the background paper by using several colors of shimmer pens and sprinkling the shimmer ink onto a piece of saran wrap and laying a solid piece of white cardstock over it and adding pressure throughout.  I also sprinkled some color onto the butterfly and flower.  I added a bow and some ribbon (below the flower).  This looks super busy, but really, there isn't a ton on here.  LOL

So Loved

 This card was made for this fortnight's 'Use a Stencil' challenge at Creatalicious Challenges.

This is the first time I've used the layering dies.  Sadly, the die set is no longer available.  It was called Layered Floral Background, it was a set of 3.  I used the first two layers as stencils and then used the top layering die for the paper portion.  I've also never really played with stenciling.  For the sentiment I used one of the sentimetns in the Digital Cutting Sets called Full Bloom Digital Art Collection. I used a different digital cutting set for the flowers and leaves, that came from the Crisp Air Digital Art Collection.  The awesome thing about these digital art collections is that you don't have to pay any shipping fees!!  I used a few shimmer brushes on the flower, I totally love the shimmer brushes!!  I used the Lagoon Shimmer Brush, the Ballerina Shimmer Brush and the Harbour Shimmer Brush (on the leaves).  The papers used came from the Flower Shoppe Coordinating Cardstock Set.  The ribbon used is the only thing NOT from CTMH, it was from Stamp'in Up and is now discontinued, it was called Summer Starfruit.

You're Amazing!

 For this card I used the Leann's World Progressive Challenge image (three times).  I did the hidden pannel card fold that is part of the challenge at Butterfly Challenge.  I didn't really follow the color part, just the purple and green (just because of the leaves), I kept this very monochomatic, yet, spring-y.  LOL

The die cut piece I honestly can't recall where it came from, I was picking up my desk (a bit) and found it laying there from who knows when.  It just happened to be the perfect color.  The sentiments are from a stamp company I used to be on the dt for called Skipping Stones.  I used a CTMH shimmer brush on the flowers after putting this together.  I used the same embossing folder on all 3 bases (card front and the two inside).

Books are the True Magic

 Showcasing a newer image from Pattie's Creations called Vintage Books With Inkwell and another that was a freebie on her challenge site (be sure to go there at least once a month to grab her freebies, she removes them when the new challenge begins) it's called Gerber Daisy 1.

This was made for one of my co-worker's birthdays.  She said she loves reading and collects books, plus, her favorite color is purple.  I made the sentiment, added some clear shimmer on the feather and brown stickles on the center of the flower.  I used two types of ribbon and some twine over the border across the middle.  The doily over the top was cut using a die on glitter paper (just a piece of scrap I had laying around) then added the strip of square purple gems across the bottom.

I saw a die set on a Facebook post similar to this and simply HAD TO see if I could create it using just my normal dies and my Cricut.  I think I did pretty okay with it!  LOL

Fun shaker card, huh?  Just too darned adorbs for some silly kid, for Easter!  I've not heard it as bunny butt, I've heard turkey butt...  LOL  Hope you got a giggle from this like I did!

I remember when

 This card was done with me playing with inks.  I used Swim Friends from Jan's Digi Stamps and two double sided pieces of designer papers.  The sentiment is from the same digi set.  Isn't it funny how, as we get older, we tell younger folks..."yeah, I remember when..."?  LOL

I was playing with the sketch from the dual challenges of Double Trouble and Tuesday Morning Sketches, this is the sketch:

 

Double Trouble also wanted to see a rainbow of colors, if not a literal rainbow.  I think maybe I nailed it?
