Double Slider Steampunk Card

This card was made using the plastic bag double slider technique.  I used sentiment from Create With TLC and the pre-colored image and paper are from The Paper Shelter.  The image is called So Chic!.  I added some fun clockwork cogs, flowers, pearls, gems and ribbon.  I used Glossy Accents on the eyes and other parts I wanted to stand out.

My final Christmas Card Post

I made four cards total, two for neighbors, one of my boyfriend's mom and one for his sister.  He got to pick who got what...this one ended up going to his neighbor.

I used nothing but dies, gems and a bows.  I adore how it turned out...I was going to snow cap the mountains, but I couldn't find my embossing gun...LOL

This one went to his sister, I haven't used this edge die in a long time

For this next one I used lace, ribbon, gems, an embossing folder and some roses:

I think I forgot to take a picture of the last one.  I do that a lot.  LOL  Here is another last minute thing I made this year.  This was for my daughter (the one that just turned 24 2 days ago).  I saw this idea on Pintrest and had to give it a try.  This is all in an 8x10 picture frame I got from the Youth Ranch, it was still new in it's package...

Festive Pillar Candle

Today I decided to make a gift for the neighbor who brought over a big tray of home made cookies (since I don't bake that is a huge treat!).  I found this fun electric pillar candle over at the Dollar Tree.  I used some fun dies and cut out black paper to make it so it would have a wintery scene.  Here is how it turned out.

Late But With Love

Okay, I went a bit crazy with this one...I think it might be my last Christmas card for this year.  I made this for a friend who is ALWAYS late to EVERYTHING.  In fact, I bet she will be late to her own funeral some day...

This card was made using a fun Santa Snail image from QKR.  I used some older papers I had in my paper drawers.  I used some bells, snowflakes, gems, red string "pearls", green and brown ribbon, lace and green gem Trim Bordure.  The sentiments are my own.

Hand Sanitizer Holders

For work several people handed out gifts.  Me being who I am felt guilty because I hadn't given them anything.  So, I had all of these big ideas of what I would made...went to the dollar store to buy supplies and was shocked to find a good majority of the shelves were empty, I'm not even kidding, they were empty!  So I found these cute little "purses" that had 3 hand sanitizers in them.  I know I'd seen some fun things you can make for the ones from Bath & Body Words so I grabbed enough to make 12.  I know that isn't much in the dollar since, but I ended up having to create the pattern for it too since they aren't the same size as the other ones.  Once I got that done I got busy.  I stuck with the traditional red and green and decided to turn them into Santa and Elf outfits...  Here is what I made:

Once I got these done I figured I'd better make some tags.  I pulled out my two tag punches from Stampin Up.  The buckle was also made using a punch.  I think they turned out cute.

Red and Green

This week over at Incy Wincy Designs the challenge theme is 'Red and Green'.  We have two wonderful sponsors Mari Ko Creations and Bugaboo Stamps.  I chose to play with one image from both sponsors.

Using the Mari Ko image called Snowball Snowman I used some cookie cutter dies, layered them a few tiems red, green and white layers, added a snowflake border die and a snowflake punch with some gems.  I colored the snowman using Gel Pens.  I added some Stickles on his hat and on the snow and some Glossy Accents on his eyes and buttons.  I used the Stickles to write the word snow in the sentiment.

For my second card I decided to do a Birthday Card.  I used the 'Fancy Rose Vase' image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I kept this fairly simple really, just added a lot of layers.  I colored the rose with glitter gel pens and added some Glossy Accents in the vase to make it look like water was in it.  I added a bow as my 'accent'.

Winter Birthday For A Friend

My friend Denise was born on New Years Eve...this card is for her.  Between us we are both so busy we never see each other...wonder if I'll get to give it to her.  I stink at putting things in the mailbox for some reason.

This card was made specifically for the two Bugaboo/Catch The Bug challenges (Stella Says Sketch and the weekly challenge).  I used Penguin Birthday Balloon for this card.  I used the balloon twice.  I created the sentiment.  I used gel pens to color the image, added some Glossy Accents and some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the hat.  I added some gems and a lace bow.

A Christmas Birthday Card

Today I found that I won top 3 over at Sheepski Designs.  Because it wasn't a S.D. image that I used I got to pick one instead of two images.  This is the image I chose - Butterfly Hair.

This will be my daughter's 24th birthday, birthday card, her birthday is two days before Christmas.

I decided to make it in reds and greens, and my daughter is a blonde so I made the girl blonde.  I used glitter gel pens for the dress and on the butterflies.  I also added silver streaks in her hair.  I used some ribbon and roses.  Those are not pearls on the corners, they are dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell color.  I'm not sure where the papers are from, I have so many in so many drawers that I have no clue anymore...they could be CTMH or Stampin UP, or it could be something I purchased from a set...who knows?!?!  LOL   The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

Christmas Card Collection

I was contacted by someone who wanted some cards, one in particular for her husband.  Looking for some ideas on Pintrest I came across four, she liked them all so wanted them all, only one for her husband.  LOL  So, I used the ideas and added my own twist to them.  Most of them were made using papers from an old Graphic 45 paper set.  I used some dies on each and some Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ivory Seashell) on the trees.

Jesus is the Reason

I love this image, it is a subtle reminder of why we celebrate Christmas.  It isn't so we can get that one gift we have waited all year for, it isn't for the candy and decorations, it is because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.  I hope you and yours have a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!

For this card I chose to use blues and crams.  I added some gems, lace and a twine bow.  I used a snowflake border die and a tree die.  This was relatively simple, but looks quite busy.
