Boss's Day

Did you know Boss's Day is coming up?  I decided to make a card for my boss so we could all sign it.  As you know (if you're a follower), I do not usually do anything inside of my cards, I like to leave it open for personal messages...but this was just too irresistible!  For this card I used a fun image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps called Stella Work - Never Hurt.  The on the outside of the card came with Stella, the sentiment on the inside, I made and will be sharing with you on this post so maybe you too can make your boss a card...??  I'd love to see it if you do!  I used some designer papers from what is left of a set called Out Of Print.  I used some paper clips and a bit of hemp twine.  I used a fun edge punch down the side of one of the DPs.

Winnie In Wonderland Card

This card was made using two images from Polkadoodles, Winnie Wondreland and Winnie Wonderland Watch.  I wanted to incorporate the hearts in the Winnie image by adding some red heart gems and wanted to incorporate the butterflies by adding the butterfly border punch.  I added a bunch of red and blue gems, some blue flowers and some clockwork cogs.  She was colored using chalk and pencil, I added a hint of blue to the butterfly on the clock using chalk.  The DP is an old two sided paper from (I think) Stampin UP.

Happy 3rd Birthday

Well...I have no clue who is turning 3.  LOL  I just wanted this to be for a little girl.  haha  This little hippo was colored with chalk and pencils then coated with some fun Stickles.  This is Helga Hippo Fairy Princess from Polka Doodles.  I used some super old Stampin Up paper, some super old CTMH paper, the bow was from a cute hair clip.  I added a strip of lace, a small scrap of cheese cloth and some flowers.  I added some cute corner punches, the number 3 was s die cut, and I used dies to cut out the hippo and the frame around her.

Winter in August

I'm starting to hear a lot of people around here complaining about the heat...and the smoke in the air.  I understand the smokey air being worth complaining about, but this heat...rather have it than snow and ice!!  We do have fires all around us.  We live in the high desert, yet this is still considered a 'valley', so, the smoke from all of the forest fires likes to settle here...yuck!!

I digress...

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge Blog, the challenge theme is "Winter in August", I like they decided on Winter instead of Christmas!!  We have two fabulous sponsors, SheepSki Designs and Createful Heart Design.  I played with images from both companies.

I used an image called Ice Queen from SheepSki Designs:  For this card I kept it relatively simple.  I layered the circles and the squares, added some snowflakes punched from glitter paper and added some gems....simple!

I used an image called Latte Love from Createful Heart Design.  This stamps comes in a set of two.  I kept this card simple as well.  I added some old DP from Stamp'in UP, some gems and a small bow.

Biker Babe Birthday Blast

Once again I've made a card for one of my co-workers.  She and her husband do the Harley Davidson thing.  LOL  I make that sound like it's so cute...really, it's so cool!  ;)  For this card I decided to still keep it girlie for her.  I found this fun Betty Boop image free online.  I added the sentiment.  I made some fun stick pins and added a "charm" that says "Celebrate".  I added one rose and some gems.  I wanted a little more texture so I added some cheese cloth.  Not sure if you can see them, but, I also added some "tickets" from a punch I have that I punched some map from.

Playing With Shells

Last night I wasn't feeling well...so, I figured instead of going out with friends I'd stay home in my craft room.  I looked up some fun new ideas and found these cool necklaces and a neat wind chime all made using shells.  I'm not sure where they came from, but I have all of these bigger shells I can't really use on my cards since they are so heavy...so I wanted to do something with them.  Here is what I made.

This was my first thing...  I decided to make a necklace that represents BSU's (Boise State University) Football Team...  I had to drill a hole into the shell, actually, I had to do that with all of the shells I played with.  I used a black sharpie and wrote BSU, created the "charm" to dangle added gems, went over the letters with clear nail polish and then added a football bead and a bow.

This next necklace I made I used a larger shell.  The butterfly I found at a garage sale.  I added the blue and gold to the wings then panted over that using a glittery nail polish.  I added beads and a chain.

This last one took a bit longer, there were a lot of holes I had to drill, plus using twine instead of metal...not fun!  LOL  I think this one is pretty self explanatory...Lots of shells, twine and some beads.  I sort of want to decorate the big shell...just not sure how I want to...any ideas?

Tonight I was feeling the need to make a card...just because!  So, since it seems like it has been so long since I've used one of my many Bugaboo Stamps, I chose to play with one of those.  I used their fun theme which is this picture:

I used several different DPs, some flowers, a glittery shell, some gems and a seahorse charm.  I was wanting to add some stickle glitter to her fin, sadly, I can't find it...I still have some things I haven't unpacked, just not sure where it all is.  LOL
