So Sweet Shaker Cards

 The challenge this fortnight at Creatalicious is "embossing - wet or dry".  The card I made for the challenge is made with the stick being embossed, the topping as embossed the blue layer and blue strip are embossed.  I used sequins and some fun smiles along with a fun corner die.  Of course, the popsicle itself is a done using a die set.  I used papers from a new CTMH summer paper set (well, not so new anymore).  My second card was also made with the popsicle die set, some flowers, a corner doily sequins and gems.

Candy Cand Hugs

 It's time for an inspiration post to remind you of the Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges, and the "Christmas In July" Sale going on this month where there are OVER 36 stamp sets on sale in her store!

Here is my inspiration creation!  For this card I used the Candy Cane Basket set:

As you can tell, I used the basket on the bottom (uncolored - you get both colored and uncolored when you buy the set) and the 'Sending Candy Cane Hugs' sentiment.   I added 3 large glitter brads, gems, ribbon, a fun robin and a gingerbread man button (on the bottom).    I used the Cricut to cut the leaves and to fussy cut the basket.

I do love bees

 I won these two Leann's Word images from a challenge a while back.  I received them today so I decided to go ahead and play with them.  Here is what I did.

The first card I made was, yes, a shaker card.  I got this image specifically for this reason.  This image is called Bee-utiful Spring.    I used some fun bee papers from CTMH, a gem bee sticker and flowers, a sentiment cut using Cricut and some twine.  For the shaker inside I used the Cricut to cut out some bees.

This second card was NOT a shaker, however, it does have bees on it!  I used some dies to cut the leaves, added flowers, gems and a gem bee.  Again, the DPs are from CTMH.

Another shaker card.  I made this one extra 3D.  The unicorns are from CTMH, as are the papers, glitter gems and the sentiment.  The carousel cut is actually from Cricut.  The baloon shaker is a My Favorite Things pouch, the die which is called Balloon Shaker Window and frame, around it is also a My Favorite Things brand, I got these from Simon Says Stamp.

CTMH Stamp Of The Month - Voices Of The Sea

 I received this month's Stamp Of The Month for Close To My Heart, called Voices of the Sea.  It is a great set!!  I have used tow of the images and two of the sentiments from the set to make these two cards.  I also used cuts from Cricut for the "ships portal/window".  I did the same card w/one in reverse.

This was my first one.  The sentiment was cut out using a stitched tag die cut.  I added pearls around the portal and used some silver "gems" on the four corners of the card.  I used to sea shells, a sea turtle charm and two different types of twine.  For the background on both the paper and the behind the image I used dry chalk to give it more of an ocean look by rubbing it on with an eyeshadow sponge.

Like I said, I basically used the same layout, Ijust flipped it, for my second card.  For this one I used one I used a different sentiment from the set and used a punch to "cut" it out.  I used the Cricut to create the anchor.  I added 3 sea shells and some pearls.  I used the same silver "gems" from the last card on three of the corners.  The round "pearls" on the portal were done using White Opal Liquid Pearls from CTMH.  I used the Clear Shimmer Brush on the fish.   I used the same chalk technique on the paper and behind/around the image as I did on the first card.

Garden Love

 This card was made using digital cut collections from CTMH, the one used for the boot, flowers, bird and birdhouse is called Backyard Bliss Digital Art Collection.  The word love is a single digi cut file called Where Our Love Begins.  These were meant to be used, I'm sure for scrabbooking, but, I'm not a scrapbooker, I'm a card maker!  Until CTMH goes digital for their images, this is the best I'm going to get, unless I choose to buy the set, stamp it and scan it into my computer (which I've done).

Summer Time Shaker

 I won this image from The Paper Shelter, it is called Hammock Days.  I have been wanting to play with it since I got it, just haven't had the time.  I decided to turn it into a shaker card by using the same DP that came with the image above and below.  I used the Cricut to cut it out with the oval.  All I did was add a bow to the top.  The fun shakers were from many different things.  LOL  After I got done putting it all together I started to think about the lemons I have in the CTMH set that would have been fun too!  LOL

Magic Is In The Air!

 I'm super excited to announce that I am Guest Designer on the design team for Jan's Digi Stamps!  I absolutely LOVE her images.  The images have such nice clean lines and they are super simple to color digitally!  For those of you who color digitally, you know what I am talking about!  The other nice thing about the clean lines is, they're also easy to use with Cricut (for fussy cutting).

This month Jan is doing a Christmas in July sale with over 36 sets on sale!  The image I used for my card is one of the sets that are on sale.  This one is Magic of the Season.  You get all of the images you can see here (both colored and uncolored).

As you can see I used the uncolored hat w/the bell and the uncolored Magic is in the air sentiment.  I used the magic swirlies three times.  I also snagged the fireworks from the Independence Day Friends set (such a fun set!!).  I added a bow and some stick on sequins, and of course, as you can see it is a shaker card, so I used tons of shaker sequins (all from CTMH).  I cut the circles and the image out using my Cricut.

I hope you will go and take advantage of the Christmas in July sale going on now!  There are some very pretty sets and you'll be sorry if you miss out on the awesome deal!

Woof/Meow and/or Love, Sweet Love

 The challenge this month over at Incy Wincy Designs is Woof/Meow and/or Love, Sweet Love.  The sponsor is All Dressed Up.  The two images given to the team to play with are Miranda and The First Dance.

I took the opportunity to play with both images (one per theme).  

For my first card I used Miranda, I added Beach Holiday as well, I mean, what is a cat without their human?  LOL  The beach scene is a print and cut from Cricut.  The sentiment is was drawn on using Cricut as well.  I added some shells, pearls, a palm tree charm and some twine for the bow and on the tag.

For my Love, Sweet Love card I used The First Dance.  I kept this one very CAS.  For some texture I used an embossing folder frame, added some ribbon, flowers, gems and a sentiment.
