Singing in the rain

This fortnight at Crafting With Dragonflies the challenge theme is 'Twisted Easel Card'.  I chose to play with an image from The Paper Shelter called The Sun's In My Heart.  I tried a couple of new techniques on this one, for instance, the floating butterfly and her hanging above the edge when it is 'twisted'.  For the butterfly I used one of the 'stems' from the flowers and glued it on there.  I added a lot of nice flowers, some cheese cloth and some fun bling that I removed from an old phone case I used to have.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

The challenge this fortnight over at Incy Wincy Designs is "ATG w/a twist Seeing Spots" must have a minimum of 3 spots or circles.  We have two sponsors, Fabrika Fantasy and Cute As A Button.  For this card I used an image from Fabrika Fantasy called Skadis Dog Printable.  I added some cheese cloth, pearls, doilies, a big bow w/a big gem, a fun die cut across the center, and tons of flowers.

I don't know that I have used this die very many times.  Since the challenge this fortnight at Crafting With Dragonflies was "Dies and/or Punches", I decided I needed to play with it!  I also used a butterfly punch and some butterfly 'scraps' from a border punch (I think I use the scraps more than the border).  I added some gems and drew some "stitching" around the entire thing.

Hap-Bee Birthday

This fortnight over at Incy Wincy Design Challgenges the theme is "Nature and All Of It's Beauty".  There are two sponsors, Sasayaki Glitter and Kit And Clowder.  I used an image from Sasayaki glitter, being a busy busy honey bee (my call sign/email) I had to use the cute bee looking image called "The Fairy Digital Stamp".  I added glittery paper, went with blacks and yellows and added some fun string pearl.  For some reason I love to use string pearls around my image when I do bees and other flying insects...
