I'm so ready to head back to someplace tropical. I'm not sure why I still live in the high desert?? LOL Heck maybe it's because I don't want to go through what my oldest daughter is right now, cleaning up the island and her home (she lives in Guam). There is always bad with the good living in paradise I guess...
Anyway... LOL I've made a couple of fun tropical cards. This first was made using a couple of images from Dr. Digi, one of which is on sale for .15 cents (Tiki-Tim) - a new image every day to celebrate their birthday week. The other image used is Surfin' Santa. I used my Cricut to lay everything out, including the background. I added the two stamped images from a super old stamp set I've had for several years from a company no longer in business called Skipping Stones Designs. For that matter, that is what stamp set I used on card #2. This set is called Tropical Birthday. I added some stickers from a CTMH paper pack and some gems from Stamp'in Up.
This second card, as I mentioned was made using the Tropical Birthday stamp set. I used the same sticker page from CTMH, the papers are from that same pack. I used the Bokeh Technique for the background (behind the image). I've been having fun with stencils lately. I used stitched dies to cut out the sentiments and the image. I watercolored the tree and the girl.
Thanks for looking!
