So Blessed

 I haven't made a card this "fluffy" busy in a while.  For that matter, it's been a while since I've pulled out my flowers.  I just got this Julia Spiri image yesterday, Fairy in Forrest.  I've made two cards using it.  My first isn't my favorite.  LOL

For this card I used some retired ribbon from Stamp'in Up and designer paper (one piece, both sides) from CTMH.  I used some leaf dies, a corner die, a square die, and a fun shaped die for the sentiment.  The bird house was cut using my Cricut.

Just for giggles, here is the other card I made.  I was trying ot make it look like an angelic light was outlining her.  I don't dislike how it turned out, however, I really do prefer the other one.

 It's been a bit since I pulled out this fun stamp set.  I decided to use it to make a food related birthday card.  I used some misc. paper scraps, two different embossing folders.  I used an die to cut the sentiment out.  I added hemp twine for the knot.

My Pretty Birthday Uni

 Don't you absolutely love a pretty, pretty unicorn!?!?  This one is from Julia Spiri, it's called Spirit Dreamer.

I added some fun star gems, used a punch for the left side, the flag was drawn and cut using my Cricut.  I chalked the flowers and unicorn then added some Stickles for sparkle - a must, in my opinion, for a unicorn picture!

 I love this adorable image from Julia Spiri.  This is Little Cute Fairy Surprise.  I added part of a flag die, a bow and a sentiment.  The image and layer frame were cut using dies.  I used some Stickles to add extra sparkle and depth.

Moo Cow Farm Fun

 This easel card was made using the Cutest Cows stamp set.  The barn is from CTMH's The Good Life Digital Art Collection.  The checked and blue paper is all one piece (front/back) from SU.  I added some twine and a button.  As I'm typing this, I sort of feel like they are both one company since SU is in the process of buying CTMH.

I made this a bit interactive using the wobbles under the cow heads.

Beautiful Flowers

 I've recently found a company that has some super awesome products - Altenew!  They also have freebies!  These two cards were made using two of the free Coloring Pages.

This first card was water colored using water based ink for the leaves and using Distress Oxide for the flower.  I added some gems and a bow and placed this on some pretty shiny cardstock using pop dots, then to the card base.

For my second card I took a little more time and print two pages the same size.  For the first page I brushed some darker blue ink, then added some white and some lighter blue.  After it was dry I sprinkled some water over it to add some "droplets".  Then I cut the leaves and the flowers out (separately) and brushed ink onto each of them.  Once they were all colored, I glued them to the base layer (the blue layer).  The finishing touches were the bow and the gems.

Happy B-Day

 I recently got this Altnew stamp set called Mini Delight Happy Birthday stamp and die set.  Such a sweet and simple set to make a quick card with.  This set is a two-step stamp, using the three attached lines to make the proper parts a bit darker (as if the leg/body parts are overlapping).

I made two cards.  Both using designer paper from CTMH.  I used two different sketches from two different sketch challenges.

I smell a Birthday

 This is the first time I've ever made this particular fun fold.  Dawn's video calls it a Stadium Wave Pop-Up.  Click HERE for the video.  I used a CTMH set from last year - its called Little Stinkers and was a stamp of the month set.  The designer paper is also from CTMH.  As you can see, rather than using the 6 strips, I only used 5.  Normally, I do not care much for cards with a belly band, but this one really does need one.

The Seriously Bad Gnome

 I reached out to my May birthday co-workers today, one of them replied to me (out of 7) so far.  She said "...Specifically though, I am growing black petaled flowers in my front yard and have several macabre gnomes like gargoyles and zombie gnomes that we move around occasionally."  She included some pictures as well to inspire/give ideas.  

I went to Cricut to see what I could find to help me out.  Normally, I'm really NOT a fan of gnomes, they just sort of creep me out, and those are the ones most people think are cute and stuff...so, really, this idea sort of cracked me up.  I had some black/gold glittery paper I used on a project over the weekend that was sitting next to me that I decided to use as my background paper.  I used some gold and some black cardstock and cut out the flowers, leaves the gnome, the pitchfork and the butterfly.  I ended up stenciling the gold onto the butterfly rather than gluing all of the pieces on.  I had the two miniature garden tools from forever ago, one of things thinks you grab thinking "I can use this some day", well FINALLY some day came!!  I did paint some red onto them, so they were bloody like the pitchfork.  I added gold gems and black gems to the flowers.  Some crystal gems to use for the eyes and more gold gems to add as accents to the flowers.  

After I got this all put together I started looking more closely to the gnome and now I can't NOT see an Ewok (the furry creatures from Star Wars).  haha
