Magical

Today starts the 'Something Magical' challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs. We are being sponsored by Aurella Stamps. I played with a coloring page from the shop. I added some butterfly punches, butterfly dies and some leaf dies. I also added gems and a bow. The image was colored using ink and chalk then I used Stickles on her wings and on the snail shell. I also added some Glossy Accents on the snail head and for a trail on the ground behind it.

Vacation W/TLC Blog Hop

***On a side note...My followers know I've slowed down quite a bit on my card making. I started a second full-time-ish job. I'm now driving for Uber. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is sort of a taxi type service only newer/cleaner cars and it's about half the price of a taxi. Not everyone has it in their area, however it is world wide! You just download an app to your phone. It's pretty cool! For my card I chose to make a retirement card that would be great for a man, but would also work for your western ladies! I went with yellows and browns. I added gems, brads, hemp twine and a fun boot charm.

Fun Fold Birthday Card

This week over at Incy Wincy Designs Challenge blog the theme is 'Fancy Fold'. We are being sponsored by Dr Digi's House Of Stamps. I got to play with Ambrose Dunderton. The fold I did was the Fold Back Pop-Up Card. I used my Silhouette Cameo to create this Happy Birthday Edge and to cut out the image. I added brads, buttons and twine.

Birds

This image is called "A Bird In My Hair". She totally makes me think of the movie My Fair Lady. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut her out. I colored her with chalk (hair, bird, eggs, nest, dress, shawl), ink (skin) and some glitter gel pen (eyes and lips). I added some Crystal Stickles to her dress and a little on the bird in her hair. I added some Glossy Accents on her eyes to make them pop. My final touch was the gem in her ear for her earring.

I used a pre-cut card pack that was given to me over at Craft Warehouse in Meridian, Idaho when I took a class there. So, the paper, doily, sequins floss and the gold flourish were all in that packet. The banner on top was from a Chalk Studio 2 Chipboard Elements set. The ceramic bird is from a fun little packet of birds I got with the toy house stuff (where they have all the little people, wooden houses, and accessories). I used Pop Dots to place the image onto the card and Glossy Accents to place the bird on the card.
