Baby Bird Birthday

This week over at Bugaboo the challenge theme is a recipe challenge (3 layers, the color orange, ribbon and a bird).  I won this adorable bird set during the birthday blog hop celebration they did, so I figured I should use one on this card as the 'bird' part of this challenge.  I found the diva Voluptuous Valerie Winter Wishes colored up from a while ago in my scrap paper drawer...it must have fallen in there at some point??  LOL  I love that she was already pre-colored with orange!  haha  I added a black ribbon bow, some gems and some word dies.  I think I made all of the recipe challenge work.  :)  Yay!

I decided to play with fun little elephant and turn this 'birthday' image into a thank you image.  I added butterfly dies and heart dies along with a doily die.  I also used some ribbon and a lot of gems.  The sentiments are both from Create With TLC.  The image is from Tiddly Inks.

Just Because

I get to be a guest designer over at ArtbyMiran!  I used this beautiful image  called Sophia #277.  I colored her using ink and chalk.  I always love having all occasion cards around.  This is a tall skinny card that fits into a square envelope.  I added some fun lace, ribbon, gems, flowers, fabric butterflies, and brads.  I used four different dies (cookie cutter type).  I love how this turned out!

A Big Hug

It has been too long since I've pulled out one of Teri's images.  This one is called Just Purr-fect.  I had two people come to my desk at work today asking if I had any kind of  get well card.  I figured I should make some...so, here is one I just finished.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  The DP was pulled out of my scrap paper drawer and cut using a scalloped round die, the lace was some scrap piece that was laying on my desk, so was the ribbon.  I colored the image with ink and chalk then added glossy accents to the eyes.  I used an embossing folder on the top grey layer.

M'dear Valentine

I know this is supposed to be a Christmas image, but I think it makes a fantasic Valentine image as well.  This is 'Deer Duo'.  I added a bow and a few heart shaped brads.  I used a heart embossing folder and did some paper piercing.
