It's A Great Day

It's a great day to have a great day! 

I made this card thinking pink would be fun to play with/pink Christmas/winter.  Pink clothes, pink bunny and pink background.  I used the Cricut to cut out the card itself and to fussy cut the image.  The image is from Bugaboo, it is today's Freebie Friday image (will be available all week long HERE once it's posted).

Be My Sweet Valentine

I saw some ideas on different kinds of candy bouquets and had to try one, just for the fun of it.  I had some candy left over from Halloween (yes, the full sized bars) and decided to give it a try.  The vase, tissue paper, red hearts and the box of chocolates are all from the Dollar Tree.  Because I have a ton of chop sticks from takeout, I used those for the candy sticks and taped the candy to the sticks.  I added some floral foam to the bottom of the vase for the sticks to go into.  I considered adding a bow, but if I end up giving it to a man, I don't want it too girly...

Playing With Vinyl

So today I decided to play with my Cricut and vinyl.  I found these super fun frames at a thrift shop, both still in their original boxes (one was from Pier 1 Imports).  I found an awesome deal on the vinyl at Joann Fabrics, buy two get two (makes them half price when you buy 4).  I used a gift card I got for Christmas so it was an even better deal for me!  haha  I found the sayings in the Cricut program.

Opera Voice

Tonight I'm taking a friend out for a birthday drink.  I figured I'd better make him a card.  He is getting ready for an upcoming opera that he is in, so his schedule is pretty busy...and so is mine.  So, tonight I'm taking him out to celebrate.

Today's Friday Freebie over at Bugaboo is this fun Birthday Turtle.  I used my Cricut to make this card, including cutting out the image.  That is one thing I love about Bugaboo, you can use the images w/your cricut :)  So many other places, you can't!  I used 5 different designer papers and 4 different solid cardstock pieces.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.

For this challenge I used an image called Birthday Ewe Trio.  I played with some scrap papers that I have laying around to create this fun backdrop.

Hay There

It is time to start the 10th Annual Birthday Bash - Down on the Farm! over at Catch The Bug.  Bugaboo is celebrating their 10th birthday!  Yeeeehaaaw!  So, they are doing a bunch of challenges this week to celebrate!  We are starting with today's Friday Freebie 'Hey There'.  I used a brown and white polka dot paper, and a yellow bow.  I drew the lines in the background.

As I might have mentioned, One of the things I got for Christmas this year was my first Cricut.  I got the Explore Air 2.  I've been having way too much fun with this machine!!  I also got the heat tools for doing iron-ons.  One of my favorite features with this machine is that I can create my own layouts and cards.  For instance I designed (not my design) this one in the work space.  I got the layout/pattern/idea from one of my favorite channels on Youtube called Dawns Stamping Thoughts.  She has so many fun interactive card ideas and she gives you the step by step instructions.  This card is called the "Pull Tab Flap Card", you can find HER link on how to make it HERE.  One of the fun things the Cricut does is write words and phrases and draw pictures.

This card was made for the Anything Goes Challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs.  I used a fun Bugaboo image called Stella Ruin Mood.

Something To Believe In

Today is Humor Me Wednesday over at Catch The Bug.  I love Stella's images...she always seems to put my feelings into words...like this image STELLA TIDBITS - I BELIEVE and this card does!
