Happy Mother's Day

 I've had some requests for Mother's Day cards.  This one I was told to go with Purple's and greens and dragonflies.  I used some dragonfly dies, a large flourish die, two triangle dies and some leaf dies.  I used my Cricut to cut the dragonfly out, some flourish cuts and the sentiment.  I added some pearls, gems, a large rose and two smaller roses, vintage earrings and a bow.  Tons of detail.  This ended up being a lot larger than I'd planned, so large I ended up having to make a box for it to go into rather than an envelope.  LOL

 This card was made for the current 'use a die or a punch' challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs.  We are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  The image used is 'The Most Adorable Panda'.  For my card I used a fish frame, a fish and a couple pussy willows. I used some actual string for the fishing pole and drew on a worm.  I added some gems, a small flower and an even smaller bow.

Birthday Butterfly and Flowers

 This card was made for this month's Butterflies and/or Flowers challenge at Dragonfly Dreams.  Our sponsor this month is Fred She Said.  The image set I used is Dahlia Garden COL SET.  I used my Cricut to cut the images and the lace back drop.  I used my glimmer pen on part of the butterfly to add just a bit 'extra'.  For the sentiment I print Happy Birthday To you! 3 times and cut it out with my paper cutter.  I added some gems and called it good.  This set is so nice to make a pretty and simple card.

Mother's Day

 This card was made for this month's 'Mother May I?' challenge at 613 Ave Create.  There isn't a sponsor for this challenge, so I just played with cuts using my Cricut and punches.  I added buttons for the flowers, twine for the tag and added some ribbon and gems.  I made this in my Mom's favorite colors (yellow and more yellow).  I ended up giving it to her for her birthday back on April 9th...Now I need to make her another card for the actual Mother's Day...  LOL

Mother's Day Butterflies

 This card was made for this fortnight's Mother's Day challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges.  I used an awesome two sided paper from CTMH (I used both sides).  The sequins and green gems are also from CTMH.  The ribbon was from Stampin Up.  The circles, sentiment and butterflies were cut using my Cricut.  The circles were cut from some green vellum.

Have A Colorful Day

 A new friend of mine is having a birthday party tomorrow.  Because he is studying to be a counselor and is going to be taking a course in using art as part of psychiatrics care, I had to get this fun image from QKR.  The image I used is Painter image 16513.  I found some fun 'painter' type paper and an easel and cut the image and easel out using my Cricut.  I used an old punch I have that looks like paint splatters.  It looks busy, but really, this is really sort of a simple layout.

Birthday Basketball Boy Card

 I find I rarely make boy cards.  A lot of the cards I make I do for my coworkers' birthdays.  It has been a long time since I've used an image from Whoopsi Daisy (now known as Linnie Pink Designs), it has been a lot of years since I've been on their DT.  My computer has been having issues and when I went to look at the folder, all, yes ALL of my Whoopsi Daisy images were GONE!  :(  I was able to recover a lot from my old emails.  This is one of those sets I was able to recover.

Due to not making a lot of boy cards, I grabbed this one to color and create with.  I followed the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

Sadly, their challenge has expired, so it is too late to share it with them.  Oh well...LOL  I used my star shaped punch for the stars and used the Cricut to print/cut the basketball.  The sentiment is a sticker.

Disney Birthday

 I have a lot of co-workers with May birthdays.  This was made for one of them.  I didn't necessarily go with what she told me she wanted this time, because she forgot to mention what a Disney freak she is.  LOL  I did ask her what her favorite Disney character was, she said Mickey & Minnie (of course).  She said her favorite colors were blue and purple.  I struggled with how to do Mickey & Minnie mouse in blue and purple since I always think black & red when I think of them....not sure why that is?  Anyway, because she is an adult I didn't want it to appear too child like, so I added flowers and gems, lots of flowers and gems. LOL  I added some scraps (the yellow and white swirls and the white leaves) that I had laying around from the last card I made (not yet posted), I also added the balloons which were print and cut from Cricut.  Here is how it turned out:

Daisies and Ladybugs

 This card was made for a co-worker's May birthday.  I went with polka dots, black, white, red and yellow.  The image used (the individual lady bugs are from the main image) is from Fred She Said, this is called Daisies & LadyBugs.  I added Glossy Accents to the Lady Bug wings.  I used an embossing folder to the red piece of paper and an edge punch on the black & white polkadot paper.  There are red flower stickers, black gems and some ribbon.  The sentiment was cut using my Cricut.
