Zombies Love Brains

 I'm super excited to say, I've been invited to be a Crazy Cousin again, visiting over at Double Trouble for the month of October!  My birthday month!

THING 1: Trouble Maker

says, "Oooh! Halloween is lurking around the corner. As I enjoy some candy corn I am thinking about the fun of costumes, decorations, and Trick or Treat.

"Let's have some Scrapper's Trick and Treat fun with this challenge. Go to your stash and look for supplies (i.e. stamps, stencils, embossing folders, blending brushes, gel press, foiling, etc.) to create your own background or maybe use one you already have in your stash. Tell us about your technique(s) - aka the TRICK - that was used for your background. Where is the TREAT? Your TREAT is the awesome background you just created or already had in your stash."  

Before you add items to your background, consider Twisted Sister's optional twist and earn another chance in our random drawing. 

 

THING 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Now that we've taken care of the Trick and Treat it's time to dress up your background. My OPTIONAL TWIST is to add Halloween images using stamps, digital files, stickers, and/or dies, etc. to create your images.

"Now here's a hint to get this party started!  Many amusement and theme parks have Halloween parties. For example, the Disney Company sponsors a sweet 'Not So Scary' Halloween' event. Maybe Universal Studios is more your style. Their event, 'Halloween Horror Night', is spooky with plenty of chills. 

"Whether you prefer using sweet or spooky images, or a few of each, add those fabulous images you have selected and enhance your background. Make your Halloween project spooky, sweet, or a mix of both to earn another chance in our random drawing."  

THING  2:  Double Dare 

says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement to create your own background and have dressed up your background with Halloween images, you are eligible to enter your project HERE at the 'Park Hopping, My Happy Place Challenge' and you will qualify for an additional chance in our random drawing."

Special Notes:  Let us know what Halloween Party you will be attending:  Disney "Not So Scary" or Universal "Halloween Horror Night".  

My card was made using a couple of background techniques, I used some ink dipping (honestly, not sure what the technique is called) and a stencil.  I rubbed an orange and a dark purple stamp pad onto my all purpose pad, then sprayed some water over the ink spots, then laid my paper over it and dabbed it a few times in different places.  I did this a few times.  After the paper was dry I used a stencil and created the patterns.  I then used my Cricut and cut out the graveyard silhouette scene.  after that I added the old (2011) Rick St. Dennis zombie that I colored digitally and then added some 'bloody' spots using a darker red ink and an eyeshadow brush.  The bow was created using the 'fork' bow technique and the Create With TLC sentiment was added after sponging some dark purple ink around it.
