Bride and Groom

I have a couple of friends getting married next weekend.  I get to perform their wedding.  I told them about a year ago that if they ever got engaged I'd do their wedding pro bono, as my gift to them.  They got engaged just shortly after the offer.  I have performed over 200 weddings and this will be my first wedding for friends.  I'm so looking forward to this ceremony.  They are both TV/movie geeks.  They love shows like Firefly, Spaceballs, and Princess Bride...so, we are doing a ceremony based on those three shows.  I get to start out with the wedding scene in The Princess Bride.  I will use a quote from the movie Serenity, then finish with the last part of the wedding scene in Spaceballs.  This is going to be a total kick!  The wedding colors are Royal Blue, Forrest Green and White.  Her dress is Royal Blue.  Her brides maids will be wearing vintage dresses with blue or green petticoats that will show.

That leads me to this fun Kenny K wedding image...it reminded me of them! I went with the wedding colors and did her dress the same color as Jacque's then added some Stickles to the dress and veil.  I added a blue bow, a white butterfly, some white string pearls, blue gems, some pearl w/gem accents and roses.  I cut the image out using a fun decorative die and then drew stitching around it.  I then sprayed the entire card front with Glimmer Mist.  Loads of sparkle!  I'm pleased with how this turned out...don't think I'll be too embarrassed to give it to them!  haha

Thanks for looking!
