I reached out to my May birthday co-workers today, one of them replied to me (out of 7) so far. She said "...Specifically though, I am growing black petaled flowers in my front yard and have several macabre gnomes like gargoyles and zombie gnomes that we move around occasionally." She included some pictures as well to inspire/give ideas.
I went to Cricut to see what I could find to help me out. Normally, I'm really NOT a fan of gnomes, they just sort of creep me out, and those are the ones most people think are cute and stuff...so, really, this idea sort of cracked me up. I had some black/gold glittery paper I used on a project over the weekend that was sitting next to me that I decided to use as my background paper. I used some gold and some black cardstock and cut out the flowers, leaves the gnome, the pitchfork and the butterfly. I ended up stenciling the gold onto the butterfly rather than gluing all of the pieces on. I had the two miniature garden tools from forever ago, one of things thinks you grab thinking "I can use this some day", well FINALLY some day came!! I did paint some red onto them, so they were bloody like the pitchfork. I added gold gems and black gems to the flowers. Some crystal gems to use for the eyes and more gold gems to add as accents to the flowers.
After I got this all put together I started looking more closely to the gnome and now I can't NOT see an Ewok (the furry creatures from Star Wars). haha
Thaks for stopping by!

Wow, you've done a great job with this- definitely nothing cute about this malevolent gnome or his blood stained tools! Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley...or anywhere else! It's perfect for our 'fantasy' Challenge at Fab'n' Funky, thanks for playing along.

Well, you definitely DON'T have a cute gnome here! LOL! Fantastic creation. Thanks for joining in at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
He does look a bit evil, doesn't he? But then again, that's what makes him perfect for the Snarky Sisterhood. Thanks so much for playing!
Fantastic!!!!
Your co worker will love it!!

Thanks for getting snarky with Edna and the sisterhood!!
Cool, but evil, but cool! Awesome work - thanks so much for joining the Sisterhood this month, Jo x
